The major re-modelling of the basement of The Cunard Aparthotel, Loch Promenade, Douglas, was undertaken throughout 2012 with Nexus Vodka and Sushi Bar opening it’s doors for business during December 2012.
Some of the lighting effects acheived:
The lighting was to be the major component of decoration and to be the important element in creating the right atmosphere for different times of the day and evening, resulting in a positive influence on the mood of the customers.
The bespoke solutions for Nexus were developed from the clients’ vision and led to the lighting concepts proposal, a document which all stakeholders could work together with a clear direction.
Producing detailed lighting proposals give the client an understanding of the solution and associated costs, while still at the design stage. This produced an accurate budget, therefore maximising the available funds by delivering a light solution within the client budget.
Bespoke solutions were delivered as intended. This is the level of detail and service delivered by Luminaires and one reason why our projects deliver such great effects and have that wow factor.
The predominant use of colour changing LED’s throughout the bar has enabled different scenes to be created and the fully automated control system consistently delivers the best scene for the customers.
The minimal, cool interior provides a perfect backdrop for the use of different hues of white as well as vibrant colours. This installation saves over 80% of the energy consumed by a standard lighting installation.
